Digital set top box has to be installed by November 30
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has asked Dish Cable subscribers to install digital set-top boxes instead of analogue ones by November 30 to continue watching TV channels.
The message was sent to the TV cable network operators in Dhaka and Chittagong city saying that if this instruction is not followed, satellite TV channels will not be available in Dhaka and Chittagong city.
In a public statement sent from the ministry's public relations office on Thursday, Dish cable subscribers are being asked to install digital set-top boxes instead of analogue systems in the meantime in collaboration with cable / feed operators to continue watching satellite TV channels.
